How Multiple POVs Shape The Tenth Dimension

One of the most exciting storytelling elements in Five Ordinary Teens and the Monarchs of the Ten Dimensions is how each chapter is told from a different character’s point of view. This allows readers to dive deeply into the unique perspectives and thoughts of the five main teens—Matt, Adam, Jess, Liz, and Carl.

By rotating between characters, we gain a personal connection to each teen as they interpret and react to events unfolding around them. Their individual thoughts, emotions, and biases add complexity and richness to the narrative, allowing us to experience the same moment from multiple angles. This creates depth, as we not only learn about the external challenges they face but also get a front-row seat to their inner conflicts, desires, and growth.

It also opens up opportunities for simultaneous storylines. With each character on their own path, I can explore different facets of the dimensions and have multiple events happening at the same time, keeping the plot dynamic and unpredictable. Each chapter brings a new voice, and with that voice comes fresh revelations, secrets, and surprises.

While the teens are the central focus, a few chapters are also told from the POV of key Monarchs. This broadens the scope of the novel, offering a glimpse into the vast political and dimensional struggles that stretch far beyond what the teens can see. It lets the reader understand the larger stakes at play, even when the main characters are unaware of them.

Over the coming days, I’ll dive into each of the five teens in more detail. From their personal growth to their unique perspectives, Matt, Adam, Jess, Liz, and Carl are all complex, compelling characters with exciting stories to tell. Stay tuned for more!
